NASA mission to save its sinking space telescope fails

NASA's mission to rescue the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory has failed as it continues to lose altitude. The attempt aimed to boost its orbit and extend its scientific life, but communication issues plagued the operation from the start. Katalyst Space Technologies will still try to rendezvous with Swift before it ultimately breaks apart later this year.
